Our Story
Family-owned since 1954
Established in 1946 as a small studio pottery in Gorey, we grew to become one of the Island's most popular tourist attractions. In the early 1960s we opened a "coffee bar" for visitors to the pottery. The original coffee bar was the beginning of JPRestaurants which, run by the third-generation, now includes Oyster Box and sister restaurants Banjo and Jersey Crab Shack.
A beachside-chic Jersey restaurant
Oyster Box combines contemporary style within a stunning Jersey location on the beach. Guests have panoramic views of St Brelade’s Bay from all tables and the restaurant offers internal and outside bar areas for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails. The stylish and airy interior is both cool on a blazing hot summer day and cosy on a crisp, winter night. We serve a range of meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as seafood.
A highlight of eating out in Jersey
With so many restaurants to choose from and an abundance of wonderful local seafood and other produce, dining out in Jersey is always special but many of our customers say a visit to the Oyster Box is a highlight of eating out in Jersey, Channel Islands restaurants.
